Excelent game

I found a s-m-a-l-l cheat though. If you click and hold on to the pink part of the dumpling, and move slowish, (so the cursor doesn't move off the pink part) the dumpling will be held by the cursor. You can then move around and avoid the viruses better. (this actualy becomes easier to perform as the dumpling gets bigger) It kind of kills the difficulty though. still, I found my self running in to the odd virus every now and then so I guess if you get careless you could still loose.
I liked the music, though, a few different tracks would be nice.

A nice consept, but you should have run with it!

I know that you guys are looking for fresh takes on your tired old ideas, so I'll clue you in. :)

I would like to have been able to fire more than one shot at a time. Yes, I know that would have been "cheating", but you could have pulled an NES and said that you could only have 3 shots on screen at a time. Also power ups would have been nice (like for instance, to induce the above condition) Hell, speening up the shots would have made the whole affair much more enjoyable.

On a side note, you need not fret about you music. I found it light, and unobtrusive, while simultainiously setting the mood for the game nicely. The looping was done expertly, and there was no audible "seam" that so many artists forget to rectify. Infact this should be an example of how sound looping should be done: Take a mellow/catchy-but-unannoying diddy, and make sure that sections of it are tessilatable. (able to fit together with out gaps)
I only gave you an 8 because there were no SFX.
...Yeah >_>

I look foward to more of your work, and hopfuly it will be slightly more developed.

Only alittle more spit and polish...

...would have made this game ABSOLUTLEY PERFECT!
Why this doesn't have a high score yet is beyond me!
BTW my high score was 40. I found that if you hit the moles right after they wave their arms, the chance of retaliation is lower. Also you have to hit them SQUARELY on the head. if you are off to the side a bit they will ALWAYS strike back.

You got some of the quotes WRONG

Stewie says "If you cooked any slower, you wouldent need an egg timer, you'd need and EGG CALENDAR!"

I spelt it exacly that way an It was wrong. this leads me to beleive that you also got some of the OTHER quotes wrong too. Dont ask me how, cause you had the audio right there. My best guess would be that you spelt it phonetticaly, which is pretty sad cause there are only so many ways that you can spell something wrong.

Weeoot!

NICE.

Since I had the opportunity to suck horrably at Taiko Drum Master last week, I must say that this is a very good copy of that. (it even includes more depth with having a diferend drum.

However, I wish that thes games would be less random in placeing beats. I should be rewarded for keeping the correct TIME with the song. Sure, that sounds boring, but there in lies the challenge. After you find out that the timming of modern songs varies several times durring said songs duration, fighting the habbit of doing the same beat for the whole song becomes verry difficult.

Speaking of which....
I think this game needs a difficulty setting.
Nothing major, just that one setting could only ask you to participate in every 4th beat, where another (hard) you must do EVERY beat.

Alot of these companies forget that drums are there in a band to keep TIME more than anything else. While they have been molded in to proper instuments in there own right, one must not for get that they are integral to modern music; ESPECIALY modern rock.

Agh!

I friggin SICK AND TIRED of these EQ character desingers! these things are so "dime a dozen-ish" that posting one should be up there with stealing programs from the flash development kit. GAWD.

Jordaan responds:

ok. this is a guess, but u own a PS2. Before u get annoyed at my flash for being an Everquest rip off. u should look at the title, jackass. FABLE. Xbox Game. Greatest Game Engine of all time. Logout of ur MMORPG, look at the clock/calendar, and see its not 1996 anymore, and everquest is not as popular as it once was. If u dont have an informed opinion, dont review

Nice work

It is very reminicent of Mausland's work. And that is one of the best compliments I can give.

Like the last guy said...

make the menus transfer faster. other than that, I saw nothing wrong with the game.
Kind of reminds me of an old Apple II game I used to play way back when. It was an f1 racer. you basicaly had to stay on the road. At beginner, the raod was very wide, almost the whole screen, on inter mediate the road was only about half the screen wide, and at expert, the road was barely wider than the car.

nice game though. I didnt find that the actual game was to fast. So i dissagree with the last guy there.

SquidWardGames responds:

yeah i know about the menu. I was just a bit too lazy to correct the problem. It has been corrected now though. I hope the whole game experience is better now!

You evil bastard!

I have to go to work tomarrow! Now I'm addicted to this game! :p

Supurb job man, I'd like to see some more of this. With more cards, and abilities (like a card that makes you invincible for a set number of turns, or summons creatures to take dammage for you)

Let me say agian EXCELENT JOB!!

WTF!

Man this is the SECOND time I've had to give a high score to a bad game!

So let me break it down:
Graphics: The graphics were excelent, and well rendered, there was no jittering, slowdown, or signs of MSpaint useage.

Style: The game was tasteful, and had a good concept. It was orriginal.

Sound: The sounds did the job they needed to, and were well matached to what they represent, (they were a bit repeatative though)

Vionence: there was no violence to rate

Interactivity: The game responded to the inputs that I made with out bogging the game down, and did so when I entered those inputs. Also the controll scheme responded to both keyboard and mouse (Esentialy digital AND analog) input; this raised you score in this catagory.

Humor: I found nothing funny about this game.

Overall: The Game was solid, it had no decernable bugs, and presented its self well.

Ok, where you failed here: the last guy was right, your physics are WAY to sensitave. even small inputs send the ball flying. I understand the idea behind this game, and i have even seen games like this before in real life, but it's just WAAAAAYYYY to sensitve to anything the player does, perhaps you could make the hole a little bit more...forgiving, and if the player touches the hole, they win, as opposed to "they-must-stop-the-ball-directly-IN-the-hole."
